Computer networks – design and construction

Designing computer networks is a complex task that primarily requires careful planning, which must be in accordance with the needs of the client.

We design all types of networks depending on their purpose, taking into account the available infrastructure and network, the needs of the customer as well as the location of individual devices within the network.

Network types:

fast ethernet, 100Mbit / s,

gigabit ethernet, 1000Mbit / s,

networks built using optical or copper cables,

computer networks used in industry,

connecting mutually distant networks.

Every active network device, whether it is a router, modem switch, printer or computer, is set up according to the customer’s request.

In addition, we perform maintenance of computer networks designed by us. This includes eliminating errors that may occur after building a network, maintaining and repairing network devices, as well as troubleshooting via remote access.

TV installations and antenna systems

Antennas

An antenna system with antennas for receiving TV signals is installed on the roof of the building. Antennas for VHF and UHF (terrestrial programs) are placed on the antenna pole. The antenna pole is a steel pole about 3 m high that is anchored to the roof with a steel rope and anchor bolts. The pole needs to be connected to the IP installation using a PY 6mmV conductor.

The selection of antennas is done according to the receiving channels of the area where the object is located. The satellite antenna with dipoles is also mounted on the roof of the building on the corresponding satellite antenna supports. The satellite dish carrier connects to the IP installation.

The satellite dish is selected according to the satellite it captures and according to the required satellite signal strength. TV signal receivers, converters and amplifiers are placed in the building as close as possible to the antennas.

Distribution of TV installation with distributors

There are several ways to distribute the TV installation, depending on the network configuration, investor requirements and the number of required TV sockets in the building. In the case of ground distribution and CATV distribution, the main coaxial cables in the PVC pipe are usually laid (in residential buildings) through the staircase. Then TV signal dividers for 1, 2, 3 or 4 branches are placed in the floor cabinets (depending on the number of apartments on the floor). For larger distributions, broadband signal amplifiers are installed on the branches. In the apartment, the cable is led to a 60 mm junction box, from which it is led to a TV socket.

Execution of electrical installations for intercoms and video intercom systems

Intercom systems are increasingly used in an increasing number of buildings, both in large residential and commercial buildings and in small family houses where they were not represented until recently, but with the development of electronics, technology and lower prices, they have become really accessible to everyone. witnessing, they are becoming more and more a need in terms of security and control over entering the facility.

Video intercoms are used in order to make it easier and better to communicate with people in front of your door, fence, etc. The system consists of a camera call key and audio communication as an outdoor unit, an electric lock (for automatic opening from the indoor unit), and one or more indoor units with audio communication and a monitor. That way you can immediately see if before

One or more people are standing at your door, who is in front of the fence, without having to physically go to that location, and after checking by pressing the button to release the electric lock, approve the entrance.

If you need a simple intercom or a large intercom or video intercom system 4e-Group d.o.o. It is at your disposal for all consultations and suggestions and solutions.

Automatic control systems

The cost of building a family house, apartment or business facility is difficult to estimate accurately. Usually, the estimated value of the construction can be predicted (designer’s estimate or the contractor’s estimate), but both, as a rule, deviate from the later realized price. There can be several reasons for small or large differences in the final value, from errors in the project documentation to the special wishes of investors and the duration of construction (inflation is also negligible, no matter how small). Every property ages and the older it gets, the more maintenance it needs. Some maintenance work needs to be performed on time. The average economic life for a new building is approximately:

massive family house: 60-80 years,

family house of light construction: 40-50 years,

city facilities with apartments for rent: 50-80 years,

residential and commercial buildings in cities: 60-80 years,

business and office facilities: 60 years,

shopping centers: 40 years,

industrial facilities 30-40 years,

residential and commercial buildings: 80-100 years.

If we look at the overall economic lifespan of a building we see that construction costs average an quarter of the lifetime costs. Consequently, part of the savings due to building automation is relatively higher od investments in building automation. Certainly most of the functional costs are due to heating and electricity consumption in the lighting of the building, so KNX / EIB intelligent installation is a good business decision. In the long run, 30% of operating costs can be saved compared to conventionally designed electrical installations, in some cases up to 50%. The investment in intelligent KNX / EIB installation pays off after 2-6 years of use of the facility.

The most difficult decision for the investor is the choice of equipment or protocol, because automation is most efficient when we use all the capabilities of the embedded system, not just part of them. The systems, which are based on KNX / EIB technology, are best suited for residential and commercial facilities, however the LonTalk, BacNet and Profibus standards are better for automating production processes and large facilities. We need to be aware of the fact that more complex systems are more expensive to maintain and less adaptable. The necessary installations for the implementation of the KNX / EIB system are simple, the subsequent upgrade also does not require major interventions. The reason is in the system concept, where KNX / EIB equipment is connected directly to the BUS line.

The investment in intelligent installation is not only more comfortable and economical, but also contributes to lower emissions of polluting gases, because 75% of electricity is produced using fossil fuels.

Today’s situation forces man not to look ahead but to make ends meet, but when we think better about the savings that a smart installation brings us in the long run, we see that it is definitely worth investing in it.
